Paradise Valley is a small affluent town nestled between the iconic Camelback Mountain (to the south), Piestewa Peak (to the west), and the McDowell Mountains (to the east).  The town is home to around 12,000 residents and is known for its upscale resorts and golf courses.

Paradise Valley is a very safe place to live and the crime rates are very low. Other reported crimes involved 40 crimes against persons (which can include crimes such as assaults and domestic violence). No homicides were reported in the 2022 PVPD annual report.

Facing Criminal Charges in Paradise Valley?

If you have been arrested by the Paradise Valley Police Department and charged with a misdemeanor crime or certain juvenile crimes, you will likely be cited into the Paradise Valley Municipal Court, which is located at 6401 E. Lincoln Drive in Paradise Valley. If you are facing felony charges, you will likely be appearing in the Maricopa County Superior Court in downtown Phoenix. While crime statistics are relatively low in this town, the most common types of cases we see in the Paradise Valley Municipal Court involve property crimes such as theft and burglary, DUI offenses, and Domestic Violence related crimes. Arrested for DUI in Paradise Valley?

You can be charged with DUI if your blood alcohol concentration (BAC) is 0.08% or greater. Additional charges such as extreme DUI and 'super' extreme DUI can also apply if your BAC was either above 0.15% but less than 0.20% (extreme DUI) or 0.20% or greater ('super' extreme DUI). DUI penalties will vary depending on the specific circumstances surrounding your case. First-time offenders may be given probation, possibly sentenced to jail and ordered to pay fines. Other consequences can include community work service, vehicle impoundment, mandatory installation of a vehicle interlock device and a suspended driver’s license. You may also be required to participate in a drug or alcohol treatment program. The penalties become increasingly harsher if you are convicted of an extreme or 'super' extreme DUI. If your DUI involved an accident resulting in injuries, or your license was not valid at the time of the incident, or you had a child under the age of 15 in the vehicle, you could be facing felony DUI charges, followed by much harsher penalties, if convicted. Given the significant penalties associated with DUI convictions, it is critical to seek the advice and counsel of an experienced DUI attorney.

We hired Trent Buckallew to represent our son following a second MIP ticket he received while in college. Mr. Buckallew kept us informed throughout all proceedings and helped us receive the satisfactory outcome of dropped charges in exchange for taking an alcohol awareness class. He was personable, knowledgeable and treated our small case with care and compassion. We would highly recommend him to anyone in need of representation. SR

Trent handled cases for me on two different occasions involving tickets for seat belt violations in commercial vehicles. Very happy with results. All charges dismissed. One case in Flagstaff and one case in Gilbert Court. KF
